Married to Sherrie Rice
I attended CCSU and Fairfield University for my Masters Degree in Administration and Supervision. Taught 33 years in Bristol, CT.
I met Sherrie in 1969. We both were hired to teach at South Side School, Bristol, CT. Sherrie taught Grade 1 and I taught Grade 5. We lived in Harwinton, CT, for 27 years until we moved to Vermont, when we both retired.
We have two children, Amanda and Christopher. Amanda is an athletic trainer in South Carolina. Chris owns his own furniture design company in Boston. We have two grandchildren, Phoebe (7) and Miles (9) with baby Naomi expected in November for our daughter's first.
We have had a very active life in Vermont these past 13 years. During my retirement years I have kept busy doing:
- Golf course greens keeper
- Church work
- Employee at Stratton Mt. Ski area (15 years)
- Snowmobile trail groomer
- Ambulance driver
- Maple syrup producer
- Playing golf
- Theatrical productions
- New adventures with my wife and family
- Lots of skiing
